3 tbsp canola oil
6 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
½ small onion (finely chopped)
1 ½ cups ketchup
½ cup maple syrup
2 tsp ancho chili powder
1 tbsp chipotle in adobo (finely chopped)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup cider vinegar

Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Fry garlic until golden, 2 - 3 minutes. Add conion and cook for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in kethcup, maple syrup, ancho, chipotle, Worchestershire and cider vinegar.

Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and cook with the lid on for 5 minutes.
