Oven Potatoes – Cheese and Hashbrowns

 2 lbs hashbrowns
 2 tins cream of mushroom soup (condensed)
 250 g sour cream and chopped fresh chives (optional)
 ½ cup chopped onion
 ½ tsp garlic salt
 2 cups shredded old cheddar cheese
 2 tbsp melted margarine
 Parmesan cheese

Mix all ingredients except Parmesan cheese and place in a 9" X 13" baking dish. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese and bake at 350 F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours (or microwave on high for 12 - 15 min. Freezes well.
