Chile-Garlic Spice Paste

This is the marinade I use for chicken-tacos.
This paste is good with poultry, firm-texture fish, shrimp and vegetables.

 ¾ cup minced jalapeno peppers
 ½ cup garlic cloves
 ½ cup olive oil
 2 tbsp grated lemon or lime zest
 juice from lemon or lime
 2 tbsp cracked black peppercorns
 1 tbsp salt
 2 tsp chili powder

Combine ingredients in a blender or food proccessor until smooth.
