Drain the tofu and press it between two plates with a weight on top for 15 minutes to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into thin rectangles
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, sesame oil (if using), garlic powder, smoked paprika, and chili flakes.
Add the tofu cubes to the marinade, gently tossing to coat. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes for the flavors to absorb.
Sprinkle the cornstarch over the marinated tofu and toss gently to create a light coating.
Cook in air fryer for 15-20 minutes at 400°F, shaking the basket halfway through, until the tofu is golden and crispy.
